STeDI

STeDI: a SpatioTemporal and evolving Data Infrastructure is a infrastructure dedicated to the management of statistical indicators available through a Web portal. It handles the upload by producers (i.e. statistics institutes) of datasets with INSPIRE and ISO 19115 compliant metadata, multicriteria requests formulated by consumers (i.e. citizens) and the delivery of full or part of data+metadata sets. STeDI encompasses a spatiotemporal data model that handles all the entities involved (producers, nomenclatures of territorial units, geometries, definition and values indicators). A tracking tool in the back-office checks syntactically data+metadata sets and launches statistical outlier detection methods.
An instantiation of STeDI, called the Espon Database, has been developed for European Commission program ESPON (European Spatial Planning Observatory Network).
